Note: It is expected that you will have a good working knowledge of correlations and be able to run correlations on SPSS BEFORE attending this workshop.

The psychometrics workshop focuses on principle components analysis and item analysis. This workshop will be useful if you are creating a questionnaire for your PhD or need to focus on the reliability of a measure within your research. The workshop will provide a theoretical understanding of Principle Component Analysis, Rotation, Item Analysis and Cronbach Alpha Analysis. It is anticipated that you will be able to run and interpret both a PCA and an Item Analysis upon completion of this workshop.

This workshop is open to any student currently registered on a research degree programme at the University of Northampton or any Early Career Researchers. Further information is available from Simone Apel (simone.apel@northampton.ac.uk; 01604 893418).
